Media and Press

The Lodestar Group is pleased to welcome qualified members of the media to any of its events held throughout the year. Media credentials are given to members of the working media whose attendance at any of the Lodestar events may result in coverage, whether broadcast or print. A press room and media coordinator will be available. All panel sessions and breakout sessions are open to the media and may be recorded unless otherwise indicated, as long as the proceedings are not disturbed. Press access to education sessions are subject to review by appropriate government public affairs representatives. Lodestar Group will not be responsible for press access should requirements change. Soliciting or accepting orders for any product or service, including advertising space, in the exhibit hall or symposium area is prohibited. Distribution of your organization's publications or other promotional material is also prohibited

Interviews:
Interviews may be conducted subsequent to the sessions, at the discretion of the speakers, panelists or their staff. Please email media@lodestar-group.com with request for access/scheduling.

Media qualifications:
You must be currently employed with a recognized news publication or a recognized (network, cable, independent) news organization.
If on assignment for another publication, freelancing or researching, please bring an explanatory letter from the publication's editor.
You may be asked to submit credential information to support your qualifications.
Lodestar Group reserves the right to deny media credentials to any individual or organization without cause at any time.

Individual's who do not qualify for media credentials include:
Freelance writers employed by non-news organizations
Marketing, advertising, or sales staff from a news organization
Representatives whose reporting focus is not on the event itself

Photographers/Broadcast Media:
All photographers and television and video crews must present identification at the front/registration desk at all events and receive a media badge and media escort to enter event. Any photography or filming of individuals or exhibits must be done with the consent of the individual or company representative.

Media Registration: Advanced media registration is strongly encouraged to provide opportunity to produce supporting documentation if required and to ensure Lodestar personnel availability to accompany media registrant. Media registering on-site must bring documentation/qualifying materials to receive credentials. Non-registered media/press may experience a delay in admission to event if personnel are not immediately available to review documentation.

Members of the media are invited to attend Road and Rail 2008 Symposium & Expo free of charge. Advance registration is recommended but not required. On-site media registration will be available.

Road and Rail 2008 Media Requirements

  • Media are invited to attend Road and Rail 2008 Symposium: exposition, panel sessions and breakout sessions free of charge. A press room and media coordinator will be available.
  • To expedite the registration process, media representatives and freelancers are strongly encouraged to pre-register. Please do so by contacting Jeanne Eury, contact information above.
  • All media must show valid credentials (photo ID, business card, Congressional Gallery Pass, Pentagon Press Pass or the equivalent). If on assignment for another publication, freelancing or researching, please bring an explanatory letter from the publication's editor.
  • The Road and Rail 2008 media coordinator will provide escort service to photographers and video-graphers. All photographers and video-graphers must have permission from the Road and Rail 2008 media coordinator before entering any Road and Rail 2008 event.
  • All panel sessions and breakout sessions are open to the media and may be recorded unless otherwise indicated, as long as the proceedings are not disturbed. Press access to Road and Rail 2008 sessions are subject to review by appropriate government public affairs representatives. Lodestar Group will not be responsible for press access should requirements change.

  • Lodestar Group, LLC reserves the right to refuse or revoke media credentials at its discretion.
  • Road and Rail 2008 Symposium & Expo is managed and produced by Lodestar Group, LLC, Raleigh, NC
