In October 2007, the Chief of Naval Operations and the Commandants of the U.S Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard promulgated a visionary joint document which calls for the retention of traditional “blue water” maritime power, and increased emphasis on conflict prevention and partnership-building. “A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower” calls for a collective expansion of Sea service core capabilities, and will have far-reaching effects on the training, equipping, maintenance, and missions of maritime forces.
Naval Expeditionary Forces Symposium & Expo, March 11-13, 2008 in Virginia Beach, VA will again provide a forum for the exchange of information and technology advancements to support our forces engaged in the entire spectrum of maritime operations around the globe. NAVEXFOR 2008 Symposium speakers will present unit commander debriefs, maritime security and support equipment concepts, and the growing requirements, roles, and missions of Expeditionary Forces.
